Leave a message
In the last issue, we shared some precautions for common hand tools. In this issue, we share precautions for two common portable electric tools. Before using these dangerous tools, you must understand the correct use method and pay attention to use safety.
1. Jackhammer

①The tightness of the drill bit must be selected with a wrench that meets the specifications.
②Before turning on the switch of the electric drill, the electric drill must be held firmly.
③When the electric drill is not in use or when replacing the drill bit, turn off the power first and then put it down.
④The drill bit should be unloaded first when finishing work.
⑤ Apply pressure to the drill bit, the force should be moderate, too much force may break the drill bit or reduce the speed of the drill bit, and too small force will easily wear the drill bit. When drilling quickly, the pressure must be light in order to perforate smoothly.
⑥ When drilling small work objects, the workpiece should be fixed with a fixture, and it must not be held by hand for drilling.
⑦ Do not wear loose clothes, ties, scarves, or gloves when using electric drills, and long hair should be tied well.
2. Electric soldering iron

①The tip of the soldering iron should be kept clean and free from debris.
② Do not knock to avoid electric leakage caused by the rupture of the insulating magnetic tube.
③ It is advisable to use a 30-40 watt electric soldering iron for transistor components.
④The soldering iron should be placed on a bracket or an insulator when not in use.
⑤ The temperature of the tip of the electric soldering iron is very high, so care should be taken to avoid burns, or fires caused by being close to flammable objects.
3. Angle Grinder

① First check whether the accessories are in good condition, and confirm that the insulated cables are not damaged or aged. Only then can it be plugged in for work.
②When we are cutting and grinding, except for the operator, there should be no people or explosives within one meter around. Do not operate in the direction of people to avoid harm to people.
③ When the grinding wheel is used up and needs to be replaced, the power supply must be cut off to prevent accidents caused by pressing the switch by mistake.
④ When using the angle grinder, it must be equipped with a firm and suitable grinding wheel cover. The distance between the bracket and the grinding wheel should not exceed 5mm. Ensure that there is no debris between the angle grinder and the protective cover. Confirm that there is no problem before use, and then start the angle grinder .
⑤The operator must wear protective glasses when working, and the standing position should be on the side instead of facing the grinding wheel. Before grinding, make sure to check the integrity of the grinding wheel, there must be no cracks, cracks or damage, and make sure that the grinding wheel shaft is firmly installed.
⑥ After using the angle grinder for 30 minutes, you should rest for more than 20 minutes to prevent the machine temperature from being too high due to long-term use, causing damage to the equipment and grinding objects. After the grinding wheel and the machine have cooled down, proceed with the operation.
⑦ Regularly check and maintain the angle grinder to ensure that the equipment is working in good condition to reduce future accidents.
