The Difference Between Stanless, Zinc Alloy and Copper Lock

Door leaves are divided into: entry door locks, indoor door locks, bathroom door locks, decorative door locks, mother-child door locks, opposite door locks, smart door locks, glass door locks.

Commonly used in modern families are: entry door locks, indoor door locks, bathroom door locks.

Common materials: zinc alloy, stainless steel, pure copper.

The entry door lock requires a large size, good appearance, and multi-insurance anti-theft functions to ensure that both inside and outside can be locked.

Indoor door locks require a security function inside, but can be opened with a key outside the door.

Bathroom door locks must be lockable internally, but must have an emergency opening device externally, and a special bathroom lock cylinder is required.

Stainless steel door lock

Refers to the door lock with the handle and panel made of stainless steel seen on the surface of the door lock. The steel is preferably 304 stainless steel. After casting and polishing, it usually shows the true color of stainless steel.

Advantages: Stainless steel material has good corrosion resistance and wear resistance. Due to the poor liquidity, the shapes are mostly simple, and the styles are generous and versatile, which are suitable for modern and simple decoration styles.

Disadvantages: The shape is simple, and there is no way to make a particularly fancy shape.

Zinc alloy door lock

Refers to the door lock with the handle and panel made of zinc alloy material on the surface of the door lock. Common coating colors are PVD gold, green bronze, yellow bronze and nickel brushed silver.

Advantages: Zinc alloy has excellent casting performance, can die-cast castings with complex shapes, and has a smooth surface and a good feel. Through high-quality coating process, the corrosion resistance of zinc alloy door locks can be greatly improved.

Disadvantages: Zinc alloy products are not as strong as stainless steel, and may be deformed and damaged after being severely impacted by the outside world.

Copper door lock

Refers to the door lock with the handle and panel made of pure copper material on the surface of the door lock. The raw materials of pure copper products are mostly high-quality brass, and the common coating colors are PVD gold, light gold, yellow bronze, etc.

Pros: Copper is one of the best pure metals. Brass is an alloy of copper and zinc, which has strong wear resistance, high strength, high hardness and strong corrosion resistance. Moreover, copper has strong plasticity and can manufacture various handles and panels with beautiful shapes.

Disadvantages: Pure copper is an expensive metal, and the processing technology is responsible, so the price of pure copper products is usually relatively high.
